J.G. Madison's aged finish gives the illusion of fine antique furniture
that has been handed down for generations. Because each piece is hand-crafted
they will have unique characteristics. The hand distressing process enhances
the illusion of long years of use.
Cottage Finish
This is the lightest degree of aging available. It consists of
minimal rubbing along the edges and corners, leaving most of
the paint intact.
Aged Country Finish
This distress is a medium aging option, consisting of heavier rubbing,
removing paint from key areas of the piece.
Old World Finish
This is the heaviest aging available. The process leaves the entire
piece distressed, removing much of the surface paint.
Solid Milk Paint Finish
This finish has no hint of distress. The piece is painted in
rich colored milk paint having the characteristic of light streaking.
Stained and Lacquered Finish
This finish is simply a stain with a topcoat of lacquer or
polyurethane giving a more traditional look.
